The last time we set about building MKSearch was over two years ago.
I've just been digging around the CVS server and found this part-finished perl version of MKSearch. It can be checked-out from CVS like so:
cvs -d:pserver:anoncvs@cvs.mkdoc.com:/var/spool/cvs login cvs -z3 -d:pserver:anoncvs@cvs.mkdoc.com:/var/spool/cvs co mksearch
Hit enter when asked for a password.
