Compilation with GCJ

The MKSearch system is being developed using the Java programming language and compiled with the GNU Compiler for Java as well as the Sun javac compiler to ensure compatibility with free systems. Mutual compatibility issues are noted here for reference.

Compatibility issues

GCC bug number 6163 requires a Sun 1.4 Java interpreter to run byte code generated by GCC.
